The blinkered approach of politics around the world amazes me.
I don't condone the incarceration of journalists, but at the same time the hypocrisy of the media and Swedish politicians stinks.

Is it not Sweden like many EU countries arm twisted by the US funding a genocide in Ethiopia.

Not to mention abrogating their responsibility of being guarantors and enforcers of the UN/ Hague agreement that gave a ruling favouring Eritrea's claim but Ethiopia still ignoring the UN ruling.

Again EU (Sweden) following US and breaking their own rules.

No one seems to care about the Eritreans when the giant next door neigbour wants to roll over them, instead every one seems to be happy to fund the offending party to the tune of $3billion/year because US wants to use them as proxy gun for hire for the whole area ?

When it comes to locking journalists indefinitely with out trial, as much as we don't agree with it, even the US has almost exact case as Eritrea. A reuters journalist / photographer has been locked since 2001. Yet no one is figting for him, including RSF ( that gets part of its funding from (USAID and NED). Curious ?

Yet newspapers are arguing about telegrams :(
